A large chunk of the entertainment that we consume is primarily tested to better serve its purpose. However, there are a few instances where it was nothing but pure experimentation that worked its magic. Audiences fell in love with it, and thus, an absolutely amazing show was born. This phenomenon basically birthed Netflix’s one of the most experimental shows, Love, Death, and Robots, which will soon have a season 3. But as it appears, fans are not exactly pleased about it. But why is that?
Looks like Jennifer Yuh Nelson’s association with the show is something that not many liked. Love, Death, and Robots season 1 gave fans something new to talk about. The stories were brilliant and adored by all of them. However, when Nelson took over as the supervising director for season 2, it got a little off track. And judging by the fan reactions for both seasons, we think season 3 of Love, Death, and Robots will also see mixed reactions from fans.
Love, Death, and Robots Season 3 to follow the footsteps of the second season?
While there has not been direct mention from fans about the third season of the Netflix Original, there were a lot of times when fans preferred the first season over the second. “Please bring back the weird sh*t from season one,” wrote one fan while talking about the show. They also talked about how they felt the second season of the show was “tamed,” while the first one was more unpredictable.
“Yep pushing many boundaries with season 1 is why I loved it. Hope they go back to that in season 3,” replied another fan. While one fan went on to even call the second season “nerfed”. One of the fans even compared the second season of Love, Death, and Robots to Disney’s signature family-friendly stories. They wrote, “anyone that finished season 1 would not go in expecting Disney-type stories haha“.
Do you think getting the Kung Fu Panda 3 director, Jennifer Yuh, for Love, Death, and Robots was a good decision for Netflix? After all, amid the financial crisis going on for the company, the last thing they want is to piss off another fanbase of such a successful show. Let us know in the comments below.
Love, Death, and Robots Season 3 will be available for streaming on May 20, 2022.
