Long-time Burnley star James Tarkowski has taken to social media on Friday evening, to send a message of farewell to all associated with the club.
It had of course been common knowledge for some time now that stopper Tarkowski was primed to bring a close to the Clarets chapter of his career this summer.
This came with the 29-year-old having refused to put pen to paper on fresh terms at Turf Moor, ahead of the expiration of his current contract at the end of the month.
Burnley’s ensuing relegation from the Premier League only went about putting the final nail in the coffin of any sliver of hope remaining of keeping hold of Tarkowski.
The ex-Brentford star, though, is widely understood to be primed for a swift return to the top-flight of English football.
This comes with Tarkowski having reached a verbal agreement to take his talents to Goodison Park, to link up with Everton ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

On the back of his departure from the club being made official earlier today, the highly-regarded defender, in turn, made use of the opportunity to send a farewell message to all associated with Burnley on Friday evening.
Taking to his official social media platforms, Tarkowski confirmed his gratitude at being afforded the chance to line out for such a ‘fantastic football club’, reiterating his hope that the Clarets will soon secure a Premier League return, before sending one final ‘thank you’ to his soon-to-be former employers:
‘An incredible 6 1/2 years comes to an end. I’ve loved every minute of playing for this fantastic football club. So grateful for the opportunity i was given to join and live my dream of playing in the Premier League. Going to miss all the brothers I’ve gained over the years, what a pleasure it has been. I hope to see this club back where it belongs in the near future. I’ll be back at Turf Moor cheering on the Clarets at every opportunity I get. Thanks for everything.’
