Bette Midler Falsely Suggests Trump Has Coronavirus: ‘Why Should We Believe’ He Tested Negative

Actress and singer Bette Midler took to social media over the weekend to spread a false conspiracy theory that President Donald Trump has coronavirus. Midler suggested on Twitter that Trump is lying about his health after the White House announced that he had tested negative for coronavirus. “You know, #Donald says he has tested negative for #Coronavirus. But why should we believe him? He has lied over 16,000 times in the last three years! Why would he not be lying now?” Midler tweeted. You know, #Donald says he has tested negative for #Coronavirus. But why should we believe him? He has lied over 16,000 times in the last three years! Why would he not be lying now? — Bette Midler (@BetteMidler) March 15, 2020 This came one day after White House physician Sean P. Conley announced that Trump had been tested for COVID-19 and the results came back negative. The president was given a test for the virus after it was reported that a member of the Brazilian president’s delegation that had recently visited Mar-a-Lago had tested positive for coronavirus. “Last night after an in-depth discussion with the President regarding COVID-19 testing, he elected to proceed,” Dr. Conley said in a statement, according to Breitbart News. “This evening I received confirmation that the test is negative.” “One week after having dinner with the Brazilian delegation in Mar-a-Lago, the President remains symptom-free. I have been in daily contact with the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] and White House Coronavirus Task Force, and we are encouraging the implementation of all their best practices for exposure reduction and transmission mitigation,” he continued. Earlier this month, she went so far as to call Trump the “most repulsive human male on the planet today.” #EllizabethWarren is a powerhouse, but Donald Trump, that stable genius, said she was unlikeable. Well, Don, in breaking news, she’s 100% more likable than you! You are the most hated, most repulsive human male on the planet today, & God knows, there are plenty to choose from. — Bette Midler (@BetteMidler) March 7, 2020 Midler has obviously let Trump Derangement Syndrome completely consume her to the point where she can’t even see what a fool of herself she is making with these ridiculous tweets. She isn’t changing anyone’s minds about Trump, and instead is only showing the world how ignorant she is. As President Trump himself would say: SAD! He has been right from the start, Dear. In fact, every new day vindicates him and everything he stands for a little more. That said, I will believe you if you say that you tested positive to cognitive dissonance and a severe case of imbecilitis. — Nick F Cerutti (@NickFCerutti) March 15, 2020 This piece was written by PopZette Staff on March 16, 2020.
